Small moments. Greater understanding.
A letter from Lisa
Hello everyone,
As October draws to a close, I want to thank everyone who has visited PheNature, explored a book or shared Phoenix’s story.
Behind every resource is my hope that another child will feel understood—and another parent will feel less alone.
Phoenix remains at the heart of everything I create. His humour, kindness and wonderfully different mind remind me why understanding children’s feelings matters so much.
Stories for different minds and big feelings
PheNature’s books and journals give families opportunities to explore emotions, friendship, confidence and neurodiversity together.
You don’t need to read a whole book in one sitting. Sometimes one page, one question or a character a child recognises themselves in can open a meaningful conversation.

My campaigning continues to focus on earlier recognition of distress, safer bridges and better support for young people and their families.
I continue to ask questions and seek meaningful change in Phoenix’s name. Thank you to everyone who stands beside us.
The Walk With Phoenix podcast also offers a place to hear Phoenix’s story and explore why noticing distress sooner matters.

There is also a space on the website to remember your child, write a private memory and find connection. You are welcome whether you feel ready to share or simply want to read quietly.

This month, please share one resource with someone who might find it useful—a parent, teacher, friend or community group. If you have read one of my books, an honest review would also mean a great deal.
