Phoenix the Cat and the Very Busy Day
A little rhyme. A little mischief. A first page to enjoy together.
This is the first story page, not the full book. The original words and artwork are unchanged. It comes from Lisa Birkett’s finished fixed-layout edition, after the title and dedication pages.
Children: find a comfy spot and enjoy the story with a grown-up.

Phoenix the cat had bright blue eyes,
Chocolate paws and a small disguise.
He chased his tail with a hop and a bop—
Then BUMP! FLOP! STOP!
